
Shahnaz De Groot-El Touni
Born in the German medieval city of Aachen to Egyptian parents, studied international politics and European cultural integration in London and Paris, interrupted by a two-year professional activity as an executive assistant at a German company in Egypt. In the years that followed, she worked at the Parliament of the German state of North-Rhine Westphalia, the European Parliament, public administration, a bank and in professional associations in Germany and Brussels. In the light of global developments, she decided to reorient and to use her knowledge and experience to work on sustainable energy in the country of her ancestors.

Markus Mau
Born in the German city of Wetzlar, is an expert in supply chain/infrastructure and sustainability. He serves as President of the European Logistics Association (ELA), Europe’s largest logistics network with 55,000+ members across 20 countries, and has represented Germany for over 15 years in the development of global ISO (International Standard Organization) sustainability standards. He co-founded MAU Consulting and the sustainability start-up Smart City Concepts, advising corporations with a combined turnover of over $100 billion. He holds a lifetime professorship in Business Management and is a recognized voice on sustainable supply chains.

Frank Schwalba-Hoth
Born in the German city of Hamburg, is an environmental and political figure, best known as a founding member of the German Green Party and one of their first MEPs in the European Parliament (EP). Throughout his career, he has been a passionate advocate for sustainable development, helping shape green politics both in Germany, Europe and beyond. After leaving the EP, he took on the leadership of the EU office of Greenpeace. He then contributed to a European Commission project on environmental issues in the countries of the former Soviet Union and Mongolia. Now based in Brussels, he works as a political analyst, coach and strategist.
